This wasn't the Star Wars universe I'd imagined and played in back in the 70s and 80s. But when I re-watched it a few years ago my opinion softened a bit...it's just about watchable. The backdrops, costume design and overall visuals are amazing...it's just a shame about the story and, in particular, the dialogue.

Now John Carter, on the other hand, had some of the same magic that changed my life forever back in 1977!Mallius Vanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11017597212038657943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8569613471183362572.post-84955884084727591832012-07-17T01:12:38.982-04:002012-07-17T01:12:38.982-04:00I too re-watched this one a couple of days ago aft...I too re-watched this one a couple of days ago after not having seen it since its release. I was incredibly disappointed, it was like watching a cartoon. I recalled that I was one of the multitude that was pissed off by the Jar-Jar character, but watching it again I realised that the whole thing was, as you said, a move of little substance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
