The Daedra

The Daedric Princes in The Elder Scrolls series really feel like the Titans of Greek mythology. They are more forces of nature and and not really concerned gods. A few would count as really evil, depraved gods that don't like their own followers, though.

The quests they put you on in the game are generally really nasty. They get in your head and try to get you to kill your companions. They try and force you to sacrifice good priests, especially Boethia, the cannibal. I really like how they are implemented in Skyrim, and they should provide a great base for DMs to model evil gods and priests on.

As I've said before, DMs who need inspiration owe it to themselves to play Skyrim, especially the side quests (the main quest with the dragons is not even the best questline in the game, IMO).

I am so jealous that you are already delving into Skyrim! Have they cleaned up the patches any? I will just have to wait for it to go on sale, but until then, Oblivion will have to do.

Love how you are using, and enjoying the new, while also having it inspire creativity in RPGs!

Best,
TB

I'd wait until January, because that's when they plan on patching quests. The patches so far were just supposed to fix low level stuff. After patch 1.2, they have started testing them more, so there's hope.

I keep posting about Skyrim on my Google+. This is one of the most compelling RPGS I've ever played - tabletop or CRPG. Just all good stuff.

Yea, the Daedric quests are twisty, and kitty only does the nice ones. :) There's only 2. LOL

I would go ahead and play it now. The 1.3 patch seems solid, but I am looking forward to the quest patches. No reason to deny yourself though.
